UKRAINIAN boxer Denys Berinchyk made a powerful statement by donning a full soldier’s outfit as he made his way to the ring.
Berinchyk showed solidarity with his fellow Ukrainians fighting off a near year-long Russian invasion ahead of his clash with Yvan Mendy by coming out in military attire.
His outfit included a helmet and what appeared to be a bulletproof vest – which had the flag of his homeland emblazoned across it.
Boxing fans were quick to comment on the touching tribute, with one saying: “Now THAT’S a tribute.
Another said: “Denys Berinchyk honours his home country.”
And another said: “LEGEND.”
