Tuchel, 49, has since travelled to India for three weeks of Ayurvedic rejuvenation – a type of therapy that aims to balance the mind, body and spirit.

While over there, the German spoke to Indian paper Sportstar to reflect on his time at Stamford Bridge.

On his axing, he said: “I loved every day at Chelsea.

“It came to an end too early for me, but it was out of my hands. This is also what you sign up for.”

Tuchel looks back on his 2021 Champions League win incredibly fondly, recalling: “There were many games that I was really happy with – the ones against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Porto and the final.”

The former Blue has recently been linked with the England job, with boss Gareth Southgate under pressure.

On his future, Tuchel remains coy.

He said: “I haven’t made a decision yet.

“It is now time for me to take a break. Some clubs have been calling my manager but we agreed that he would not call me here for these past 18 days.”

He does, however, believe that the Three Lions have a chance to win the World Cup.

On who the favourites for the tournament are, he added: “Brazil, France, Argentina, Germany and England.

“Belgium and Senegal. And don’t forget Spain. At the World Cup, I am looking forward to watching the players I trained.”

On his therapy experience, Tuchel said: “I was curious. One of my assistant coaches was here six years ago.

“He told me good things about this place. I have always been aware of the principles of Ayurveda.

“I feel energised and calm. I would recommend this to everybody who wants to discipline the body and the mind.”
