Didier Drogba slams Chelsea for ‘lacking class’ since Todd Boehly’s takeover and blasts them for ‘forsaking principles’

The Ivory Coast icon’s trophy haul with the Blues includes four Prem titles and a Champions League success in 2012.

The Russian oligarch sold the club to Boehly earlier this year in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

And Drogba believes the change in leadership has not been for the better.

Boehly and his team have overhauled most of the structure at the club after the American said he wanted a more cohesive outfit.

It has led to a large turnover in staff and the headline-making decision to sack their Champions League-winning boss Thomas Tuchel.

Former Blues star Michael Ballack, 46, is among those to criticise the dismissal of his fellow German, who has been replaced with former Brighton boss Graham Potter.

Now Drogba has added a dissenting voice, telling Canal +: “I knew this club with a certain class during the Abramovich era, but today I find it lacking.
