Man Utd legend Roy Keane names three favourite pundits… but SNUBS Sky Sports pal Micah Richards

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Roy Keane has revealed his favourite football pundits – but snubbed his Sky Sports pal Micah Richards.

The pair have struck up an unusual love-hate relationship which has entertained viewers over the past few years.

Keane and Richards can often be seen on the telly when their former clubs Man United or Manchester City have big games.

Despite their unique relationship, Keane flat out refused to include him as he listed his top three pundits during a question and answer section on Monday Fight Football.

He instead picked Sky colleagues Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and Graeme Souness – although he couldn’t resist including jokey digs.

Keane said: “I have to go with Jamie, we have done a deal.

“What does help is listening to people like Jamie who are very passionate.

“I think Neville is really good, I’ll have to go with Nev because as I always say, I want tickets for the Salford games.

“I like Graeme Souness. Growing up I watched him as a player, I thought he was a brilliant player so he always had that influence on me the way he played. What he won. I have done some work with him and he thinks along the same lines as me.”

When pressed by presenter Dave Jones on including Richards in his list, Keane said: “I’m not picking him, no chance.”

The former Manchester City defender did make Carragher’s favourite pundits list, with Neville and Keane also in his top three.

As part of the top three question session, Keane named Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo as his favourite Premier League players.

Carragher agreed on De Bruyne and Haaland, but subbed-out his handshake-snubbing frenemy Ronaldo for Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.

In terms of current top-flight managers, Keane said his favourites were Graham Potter, Thomas Frank and Pep Guardiola. While the Irishman name Wayne Rooney, Thierry Henry and Ronaldo as his favourite players of the Premier League era.

Keane even revealed his three favourite movies when asked, and opted for One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, There Will be Blood and Shawshank Redemption.

The former Ipswich boss has been linked with a return to management in recent days, and was spotted at Preston vs West Brom days before Steve Bruce was sacked as Baggies boss.
