In a thrilling back and forth game, the hosts were awarded a penalty when Thiago kicked Gabriel Jesus in the back of the leg.

Saka coolly slotted past Alisson for what turned out to be the winning goal.

And Zinchenko, who missed the game through injury, absolutely loved Saka’s calm strike.

Footage posted on social media showed the Ukrainian left-back jump out of his seat when the ball hit the back of the net.

He pumped both fists in the air and looked up into the sky in pure joy.

The 25-year-old then let out a huge roar as he celebrated the goal.

Arsenal clung on for all three points to reclaim top spot in the Prem after an eighth win in nine games.

Mikel Arteta’s side did it without £32million summer signing Zinchenko, who has picked up a muscle injury.

The gaffer said before the game on the left-back: “He had again another muscle injury and we’ll see how it is in the next few days.”

On the pitch, Gabriel Martinelli put the Gunners ahead after just 58 seconds, before Darwin Nunez hit back for the visitors.

Saka restored the hosts’ lead on the stroke of half-time, only for Roberto Firmino to level things up again.

But in the end Saka’s penalty 14 minutes from time was the difference.
