LUCAS BROWNE revealed the British Boxing Board of Control has refused to sanction his fight with Daniel Dubois.
Dubois was looking to defend his secondary WBA heavyweight title against the Australian veteran.
But due the 43-year-old’s age, it has not been approved by the board, causing a furious outburst from Browne.
He said: “I’m currently holding an IBF and WBA regional title and a top 15 world ranking with the WBA, but apparently, I’m too old.
“You finally get the greatest news ever that you can fight for a world title and some board, somewhere say, ‘Oh no, he’s 43, he’s too old. We’re not going to sanction it.’
“How said is that? Wow. It’s not like I’ve been beat around my head my whole career, I’ve got three losses in total.

“How does this work? How exactly does this work where a body of people, who are obviously too old to fight themselves, just go, ‘Oh no, he’s too old. We’re not going to worry about it.’
“I’m coming off two great knockout wins, with two belts and a world rating, how am I too old?
“If I was too old I wouldn’t have any of that. If I’m coming off losses, totally understand.
“How in any way whatsoever is that right and how can that be allowed to stand? I don’t understand.”

Browne beat rising contenders Faiga Opelu, 28, and Junior Fa, 32, in his last two fights.
Two of his three losses came in Britain, against Dillian Whyte, 34, and Dave Allen, 30.
Dubois, 24, meanwhile knocked out Trevor Bryan, 33, in June to win the trinket WBA title.
And Browne slammed the decision to not let him challenge for the same belt he formerly held.
He said: “Again the guy from Australia gets f***** over again. And that’s the problem with boxing. It’s money and politics.
“If you don’t have the money and politics to back it up, you get f*****over and that’s been my entire career, unfortunately.
“My entire career I have been f***** over by everyone in boxing.
“Every country, no natter what it is, there’s always been something and there always will be something.”
