MANCHESTER UNITED introduced a “no d***heads” rule in the transfer market under new manager Erik ten Hag.
United brought in the likes of Lisandro Martínez, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Tyrell Malacia in the summer window.
And according to The Telegraph, incoming boss Ten Hag oversaw a transfer plan that meant the club made sure to recruit “no d*** heads”.
That was at risk when they registered an interest in ex-Stoke forward Marko Arnautovic, known for his stroppy attitude.
The strict transfer policy is credited as one of the reasons for Manchester United’s upturn in form.
The Telegraph also report that Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire as well as goalkeepers David de Gea and Tom Heaton have all acted as leaders at United.

United currently sit sixth, nine points behind leaders Arsenal but with two games in hand.
It is a good start to the season under Ten Hag but the Dutchman was warned by Pep Guardiola that he must win trophies or else risk being sacked.
Guardiola said: “If United trust and let him build a team by giving him years and years, that will be welcome. I cannot say anything else.
