That’s all from Glasgow
Napoli picked up another dominant victory in the Champions League, this time against Rangers with a score of 3-0.
The Gers’ downfall began after James Sands was sent off for bringing Giovanni Simeone down inside the area on 56 minutes.
Drama ensued as Allan McGregor saved Piotr Zielinski’s penalty and Matteo Politano scored from the rebound but replays showed the goalscorer was inside the area before the kick and the goalkeeper was off his line.
Zielinski tried again but 40-year-old shot-stopper McGregor saved it once more as he lunged to his bottom right corner.
However, Politano didn’t make the same error when the Partenopei earned another penalty on 68 minutes, even though the Rangers keeper fell on the correct corner once more.
Napoli sealed the win on 85 minutes when Luciano Spalletti’s substitutions Mathias Olivera and Giacomo Raspadori combined on the edge of the box before the latter beat McGregor.
Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombele scored the third from close range in the first minute of stoppage time after an assist from Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.
