Dortmund are determined not to sell this summer and would demand well over £100million – a fee Liverpool’s ownership would not be willing to pay.

But according to Football Insider, a deal could happen as soon as January.

They claim that Liverpool feel they have a “verbal agreement” in place with Bellingham with regards to personal terms.

Their report adds that next summer is the most likely time that the deal will go through, although Reds bosses have “discussed” trying to bring it forward to January.

Jude’s Dortmund contract runs until 2025 and he will be keen to stay settled ahead of this winter’s World Cup in Qatar.

The 15-cap England international went to Euro 2020, but will be hoping to possess a more key role for Gareth Southgate’s men this time around.

He has played the full 90 minutes of all five of Dortmund’s games so far this season, finding the net in the DFB Pokal clash against 1860 Munich.

In total he has played 95 times for the German side, scoring 11 goals and laying on 19 assists.
