EVERTON have set their sights on a late swoop for Newcastle winger Miguel Almiron, according to reports.
Toffees chief Frank Lampard is keen to bring in more reinforcements before the transfer window closes next week.
More attacking options are top of Lampard’s priority list, which reportedly includes Paraguay international Almiron.
According to The Guardian, Everton are showing serious “interest” in bringing the 28-year-old to Goodison Park.
It’s unclear, however, if the Merseysiders have tabled an offer for the Toon star.
Newcastle are said to be willing to part company with the Paraguayan, but only on a permanent basis.

Almiron joined Newcastle in January 2019 from MLS side Atlanta United for a then club-record fee of £20million.
But he’s only scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 126 appearances for Eddie Howe’s side.
Almiron was on target for the Magpies in Sunday’s 3-3 draw with defending Premier League champions Manchester City, levelling the score in the 28th minute following Ilkay Gundogan’s opener.
Toon boss Howe said of the Paraguayan: “I think he’s carried on his pre-season form into the season.
