Ajax star Jurrien Timber’s agent hint at Man Utd transfer with airport post about ‘closing deal’

MANCHESTER UNITED appear to be on the verge of closing in on the signing of Ajax defender Jurrien Tiber.

Incoming Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag has been linked with bringing one of his current top stars with him to Old Trafford.

Now the Netherlands centre-half looks set to complete the move to the Premier League.

The 20-year-old star is represented by Forza Sports Group.

And the company has sparked speculation a transfer is imminent by seemingly dropping a big hint online.

They posted a clip on social media of an airport and captioned it with: “Deal closing time…”

Ten Hag has joined United on a three-year deal with the option of one more and will take the reigns for next season.

And after leading Ajax to a third Eredivisie title in as many years he was asked about Timber’s future.

He told De Telegraaf: “I think all top clubs in Europe have Timber in their sights.

“But I think that currently applies to a lot of Ajax players.”

Timber is contracted at Ajax until the summer of 2024.

He has represented the Dutch at three different youth age groups and earned six senior caps since his international debut in 2020.

The ace has made 38 appearances for Ajax this term, earning himself a second title medal in the process.
