The 20-year-old has chatted to players who have played under the Dutch coach at Ajax – and the feeling has been good.
He said: “I have spoken to some of them – some of the guys I played against at the Under 17s Euros. I’ve had a chat with them and it’s all positive.”
As well as winning three Dutch titles, Ten Hag also led Ajax to the semi-final of the Champions League in 2019.
Elanga added: “Not only this season but in seasons prior to this, winning the leagues and his fantastic record in Europe.
“The way he’s developed young players, players that I’ve played against in the youth team, or the national team.
“I’m really excited to work with him.”
