‘We like the project’ – Gabriel Jesus’ agent CONFIRMS Arsenal transfer talks but admits SEVEN clubs want Man City star - sportlife.news

MANCHESTER CITY striker Gabriel Jesus’ agent has CONFIRMED transfer talks with Arsenal, admitting the player likes the project at the North London club.

The Brazilian is under contract at the Etihad until the summer of 2023, but with City announcing the signing of Erling Haaland, a move in the upcoming transfer window is on the cards.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen on a reunion with Jesus, who he worked with while he was Pep Guardiola’s assistant at City.

The Gunners are in need of a forward or two this summer having lost Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona in January.

Pettinati told transfer guru Fabrizio Romano: “We had talks with Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus, we like the project – it’s a possibility we’re discussing.”

However, the Gunners will face stiff competition for Jesus’ signature with SIX other clubs interested in signing the 25-year-old.

Pettinati continued: “There are 6 more clubs interested in Gabriel – he’s focused on final games with Man City, we’ll see.”
