FERNANDO Alonso and the stunning Andrea Schlager are now a couple, according to reports.

The F1 ace, 40, and the Austrian presenter, 39, publicly flirted up a storm on Instagram – and now they are seemingly official.

Rumours about their romance began when they started liking each other’s posts on social media a few months back.

However, now they are tagging each other in stories and hinting they are more than just friends, and the Spanish media claim they are an item.

Reports said that Alpine driver Alonso flew in a private jet to Austria to spend time with the brunette beauty.

In an Instagram post of Schlager riding a horse, that was shared on Alonso’s official account, he wrote alongside a video: “happy horse… powerful beauty”.

Fernando Alonso to stay in F1 for ‘at least another two or three years’

Schlager also added fuel to the rumours when she was pictured wearing a small F1 helmet similar to Alonso’s and tagged him in the snap.

She wrote as the caption, “Safety first” as she set tongues wagging.

Earlier this week, she posted a photo with Alonso revealing she was “looking forward to another summer”.

TV journalist Schlager started out in F1 working in former supremo Bernie Ecclestone’s office.

Now, she is the media face of Servus TV – working on F1 since last season.

Before she got into motorsport, Schlager worked on ice hockey and tennis.

She regularly cheered on Austrian No1 Dominic Thiem, as she made her name in sport.

Alonso, who won the world championship in 2006, was previously married to Spanish singer Raquel del Rosario until they divorced in 2011, and recently dated Linda Morselli.
