FORMER Celtic midfielder Scott Brown celebrated his goal for Aberdeen at Ibrox on Wednesday night by taunting the Rangers fans.
The 36-year-old, who has been playing centre-back for his new side, doubled The Dons’ lead after just 16 minutes with a superb diving header from a corner.
After putting the ball into the back of the net, Brown sprung to his feet and sprinted over to the Rangers supporters where he performed a knee slide and stared out the crowd.
Some of the Scottish champions’ fans threw things at the ex-Celtic man as he antagonised them on the touchline, with a few supporters believing he was impersonating Rangers star Alfredo Morelos’ celebration.
The Scottish Premiership holders got back into the game just four minutes after Brown’s goal when Morelos pulled one back.
And Steven Gerrard’s men completed the comeback nine minutes from time when James Tavernier’s penalty handed them a point.
Speaking after the game, Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass told the club website: “We were excellent throughout the side.
“Scott [Brown] is obviously a leader, always has been, and despite playing out of position, he’s shown what he’s capable of, he’s shown why he’s at the club, and he’s shown what a great player he is.
“Having him there gives us the option of changing shape too because he can step into midfield and we can do that without making a substitution.”
The match was the first time Rangers had played since the death of club legend Walter Smith.
And they were able to harness a bit of that emotion to ensure they took a point away from the game.

The draw also means Rangers still have a two-point lead at the top of the table.
Brown’s former side Celtic now sit second, one point above chasers Hearts and Dundee United.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen are down in eighth place having won just three of their opening 11 league games.
