MANCHESTER UNITED fans have hailed ‘s*** stirrer’ Edinson Cavani after he rushed to defend team-mate Scott McTominay during a row with Everton rivals.
United welcomed the Toffees to Old Trafford in Saturday’s Premier League early kick-off.
The row was sparked when McTominay appeared to foul Everton left-back Lucas Digne.
The Scotland international then tried to pick Digne up, but was approached by the towering Yerry Mina and other Everton stars.
Mina tried to drag McTominay into a shoving match, but Cavani came to his team-mate’s defence – and it’s not the first time he has done it.
Everton striker and fellow South American Salomon Rondon seemed to try and keep the peace, as did Abdoulaye Doucoure.
And the cavalry arrived for United as Victor Lindelof and Fred tried to help defuse the situation.
Cavani and Mina have had a run-in before, with the Uruguayan throwing Mina to the ground in a Carabao Cup quarter-final clash last season.

United fans have labelled loyal Cavani a ‘s*** stirrer’ for his role in the scuffle.
One said on Twitter: “Love Cavani. Proper shit stirrer.”
Another said: “Love how Cavani always is the 1st to defend his teammates!”
One United fan suggested Cavani and Mina should settle their beef in a cage fight.
They said: “Mina and Cavani just need a cage fight to settle it every time we play Everton there’s something between them.”
Some footy fans picked up on Mina’s cheeky grin as he escalated the situation.
A viewer said: “Mina just wants to scrap cavani.. why was he smiling when cavani pushed him away.”
