BUKAYO SAKA proved once again what a good footballer he is with his performance for England against the Czech Republic.
But his skills clearly don’t translate well to the golf course.
With the Three Lions enjoying some down time this week ahead of next Tuesday’s crunch Wembley clash with Germany, Saka decided to try his hand at a new sport.
The winger had a go on the golf simulator at England’s St George’s Park training base.
But he had less than desirable results.
Following a bizarrely short swing, Saka missed the ball completely on his first attempt.
And he suffered a similar result on his second try.
He DID manage to hit it on his third go, but only just about.
Team-mate Harry Maguire, who posted Saka’s attempts on Instagram, took to social media to lightheartedly mock his pal.
The Manchester United defender wrote of the 19-year-old: “Golf definitely isn’t for you.”
BETTING SPECIAL: GET ENGLAND TO BEAT GERMANY AT 14/1
When it comes to some England stars hitting a proper golf course this week, Saka is likely to give it a miss.
Earlier this week, Maguire told The Diary Room on England’s Facebook page: “We’ve got six or seven days until our next game so we can have a few days resting and recovering.
“A few of us will be going out to play golf. Me, Stonsey [John Stones], Pickers [Jordan Pickford], Walks [Kyle Walker], Tripps [Kieran Trippier] will all get involved and Harry [Kane] will play as well, I think.
“It’s a good school and we’re going to get out and have some fun and lose many balls.”
Saka, meanwhile, can cherish the Uefa Star of the Match award he earned for his brilliant display against the Czechs.
He will hope to keep his place when the Germans come to Wembley on Tuesday, as England vie for a quarter-final berth against Sweden or Ukraine.
