France star Paul Pogba may have breached Uefa’s Euro 2020 coronavirus rules by going into stands to give away his shirt

PAUL POGBA could reportedly have breached Uefa’s Euros coronavirus rules by going into the stands to give away his shirt.

The Manchester United midfielder was a standout in the 2018 World Cup winners’ opening game of the delayed European Championship.

His sublime pass to Lucas Hernandez set up France’s winning goal as Mats Hummels comically volleyed into his own net.

Pogba’s performance alongside Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante saw him pick up the man of the match award.

The playmaker was so delighted he went into the stands and gave out his shirt in a heartfelt moment – it is not known whether he was celebrating with a random fan or family member.

But according to BeIN Sports, it could land him trouble with Uefa and leave him facing a probe.

It was claimed on air that Pogba may have breached Covid-19 protocols by going into the stands.

And, if Uefa deem that he has, it could lead to punishment for the 28-year-old, who starred in France’s World Cup winning side three years ago.

Uefa are yet to comment on the incident.

It was an otherwise flawless performance by the former Juventus man, but he was caught up in a bizarre incident with Antonio Rudiger before half-time.

Antonio Rudiger appears to put his teeth into Paul Pogba’s back

Pogba said after the game that the Chelsea defender BIT his back in a strange moment that went unpunished.

Pogba said: “It was nothing big. You saw the television pictures and it is all over now, in the past.

“He nibbled a little bit and I felt it so I told the ref but I am not crying for a yellow or a red card.

“Me and Toni have known each other for a long time and I just want to play football.

“He has not received any card and I don’t want him suspended because of that situation. We hugged at the end and it is over.”
