Michael Schumacher’s former Ferrari boss reveals he sees F1 legend regularly and recalls ‘beautiful experiences’

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER’S ex-Ferrari boss says he regularly visits the F1 legend and their ‘beautiful experiences’ live on.

Schumacher’s condition following a near-fatal skiing accident in 2013 is still a mystery publicly as he continues his rehabilitation.

But his former team principal Jean Todt has revealed he sees the seven-time champ “at least twice a month”.

Todt told Italian outlet Corriere della Serra: “I don’t leave him alone.

“Him, (wife) Corinna, the family — we’ve had so many experiences together.

“The beauty of what we have experienced is part of us and it goes on.”

Schumacher’s family have succeeded in their desire to keep his health situation private.

But last September neurosurgeon Erich Riederer suggested the 52-year-old was in a “vegetative state”.

He fell and hit his head on a rock while skiing off-piste in the French Alps.

The German was placed in a medically-induced coma before regaining  consciousness by June 2014.

He left hospital in September that year and is thought to have been at home since then.

Eight months ago Riederer told French TV channel TMC for a documentary: “I think he’s in a vegetative state, which means he’s awake but not responding.

“He is breathing, his heart is beating, he can probably sit up and take baby steps with help, but no more.

“I think that’s the maximum for him. Is there any chance of seeing him like he was before his accident? I really don’t think so.”
