  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    46. Liverpool are kicking towards the Kop end this half.

If they star this half how they finished the last, they’ll give them plenty to cheer about.

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    45. Palace get us back underway after the break.

    Hodgson’s final half in charge.

  • PEEEEEP! SECOND HALF UNDERWAY

  • TIGHT AT THE TOP

The race for the top four has had plenty of drama in the opening 45 minutes.

As it stands, Leicester miss out on a European spot due to goal difference.

  • TEAM TALK

Liverpool took their time getting into the game, gifting Townsend and Zaha far too much space.

They could easily have gone a goal or two down if Townsend’s shots had had a little more oomph behind them.

But Liverpool settled into the game and became very threatening with wave after wave of attack.

Mane gifted them the lead in the first half, meaning Liverpool are the only side, vying for a European spot, that are ahead at the break.

  • HT: LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    49. Mane sprays the ball from left-to-right wing to pick out Salah.

Impressive first touch from Salah, with the inside of his right foot, allows him to side-step Palace’s defence.

He has a crack from the edge of the area, but it’s a metre or so wide of the far post.

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    48. The latest twist and turn is that Chelsea have fallen a goal behind to Villa thanks to Traore.

It’s getting more and more interesting…

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    46. It’s wave after wave of Liverpool attack.

From the centre circle, Fabinho intercepts a sloppy Palace pass.

He picks out Mane on the left with a lovely through ball, but Mane tries to backheel the ball to Robertson on the overlap allowing Tomkins to intercept it.

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    45. Five additional minutes at the end of the first half.

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    43. Robertson is moving quite gingerly as he appeared to twist his knee and crumble to the floor just outside the Palace box.

No sub for Williams as yet.

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    42. The race for the top four rumbles on as Tottenham have equalised at Leicester.

Kane bags a goal which means Leicester are currently out and Chelsea are back in.

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    41. Williams is still receiving treatment and may need to exit the field if the blood flow doesn’t stop.

Milner is on the touchline warming up, as confirmation comes through that Williams needs stitches.

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

Here’s the goal from Anfield for your viewing pleasure.

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    38. Mane’s all smiles and the crowd are making up for lost time.

Elsewhere, Williams is down receiving treatment after clashing heads with Kouyate.

The Liverpool medical team are wrapping up a second players’ head.

  • LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    35. It’s scrappy from Liverpool, but a goal is a goal!

A corner is whipped in by Robertson and glanced backwards, at the near post, by Phillips.

A spot of ping-pong ensues before Firmino taps it through to Mane at the far post who drills it home.

That has settled a few nerves and with the goals as they stand, Chelsea are out of Europe (of course, there’s still plenty of time to go)!

  • GOOOOOAL

MANE BAGS HIS 8TH IN A ROW AGAINST PALACE !

  • LIVERPOOL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    34. Alisson causes a gasp from the crowd as he misjudges a ball back from his defence.

Townsend is ready to pounce, but Alisson remains calm and eventually clears it.

  • LIVERPOOL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    32. CHANCE!

Another sweeping Liverpool attack concludes with Mane curling a ball across the goalmouth.

Liverpool soon manage to regain possession, thanks to Robertson hustling in the middle, but their next wave of attack ends in a deflection and subsequent goal kick.

  • LIVERPOOL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

I’ll bring you scores across the league during this brief break in play.

    Leicester 1-0 Tottenham

    Man City 2-0 Everton

    Sheffield United 1-0 Burnley

    Wolves 0-1 Man United

    West Ham 1-0 Southampton

    Fulham 0-1 Newcastle

    Leeds 1-0 West Brom

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

    Aston Villa 0-0 Chelsea

  • LIVERPOOL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    29. The fans are making plenty of noise at Anfield as captain Jordan Henderson begins his warm-up on the touchline.

Phillips is currently receiving treatment for the injury to his face.

  • LIVERPOOL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    28. Phillips is bleeding from his face.

Looks like he collided with Fabinho as the pair both jumped to clear a ball deep in their own half.

  • LIVERPOOL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    27. Mane is taken out by Kouyate who towers over him.

Liverpool win a free-kick pretty much on the side-line on the right, in Palace’s half.

  • LIVERPOOL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    25. Robertson tries to fire a ball across the box to Salah on the right, but he overcooks it and it flies out for a goal kick.

Better from Liverpool who moved the ball around quickly in the build up to that – feels as though every player in a red shirt got a touch to it.

  • LIVERPOOL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

    22. Thiago sends a delicious ball over the top to pick out a running Salah on the right.

He breaks into the box and races towards goal with a diagonal run but he fires his shot straight at an outstretched Guaita.

Mane was square and unmarked, Salah would have been better to have slipped it to him instead of trying to do the Palace keeper at the near post.
