PAUL SCHOLES believes Manchester United’s Special Bru should be combined with the flair of the Pog to produce a devastating punch.
Old Trafford legend Scholes wants one of United’s two midfield anchormen ditched, so Paul Pogba moves inside next to Bruno Fernandes.
The Class of 92 hero reckons this attacking tonic would raise Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men to the next level after huge improvements this season.
United are second in the Premier League ahead of Sunday’s home clash with Burnley and also into the Europa League semi-finals.
Former England midfielder Scholes told BT Sport: “Solskjaer likes the two sitting players. I don’t think there’s a need for both of them,
“They need to get Pogba in a linking role with Bruno. If they do, it frees up another position for a forward player.
“The awareness and cleverness they both have allows each other to link up.
“United’s two cleverest players are Fernandes and Pogba so if you can get them close together, they’ll score a lot and provide goals for others too.”

Pogba shone on the left in United’s 2-0 home defeat of Granada on Thursday, earning a 4-0 aggregate route to a Europa League last-four clash with Roma.
But Scholes added: “If you get him [Pogba} in there, it frees up the left for ]Marcus] Rashford. There’s no way you’d want to play against that.”
But he also thinks United need a “more dominant centre back” so that “they could have a more attacking midfield”.
