FORMULA E have added SIX races to next season’s calendar after having to make drastic changes due to the ongoing pandemic.
FE were forced to switch this month’s season opener in Chile to a double-header in Saudi Arabia with night races on February 26 and 27.
The latest additions to the calendar are races in Rome, Valencia, Monaco, Marrakesh and two races in Santiago.
This will be the electric series’ first ever race in Valencia, with the circuit in Spain being the home of their pre-season testing for the last four years.
In what will be FE’s first ever season as an official FIA World Championship, the series is determined to put together a substantial calendar.
FE’s CEO Jamie Reigle said: “We are committed to delivering a global calendar that befits our first season as a World Championship.
“We are working closely with all our partners across teams, manufacturers, sponsors, broadcasters and host cities to adapt to external circumstances and ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.”

While they have also had to deal with postponing races in Mexico City, Santiago and Sanya.
Although, the championship has recently announced a return to the virtual world.
Their new Esports competition called the ‘Accelerate series’ follows on from last year’s popular Race at Home Challenge in partnership with UNICEF.
