AC MILAN have signed free agent Mario Mandzukic on a six-month deal with the option of an extra year.
The Croatian has been handed the No 9 shirt as the Italian giants bid to win their first Serie A for 11 years.

The former Juventus star joined on a free transfer having left Qatari side Al-Duhail last July.
Milan are three points clear at the top of the league having won 2-0 at Cagliari on Monday.
The 34-year-old joins an already experienced front line with Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 39, having an excellent campaign.
And the Swede is delighted World Cup runner-up Mandzukic has joined up.
He said: “I am very happy.
“There will be two of us to scare the opponents now!
“So far we are doing well. We are almost halfway through the league and now the games are starting to be more difficult.
“It will be a very tough season, but now with Mandzukic and Meite, and I don’t know if others will arrive, we will have more players available for the coach that can rotate in.”

Mandzukic has plenty of experience in Italian football having scored 44 goals in 162 games for Juventus between 2015 and 2019.
He won Serie A every season he was with the Old Lady.
And Milan boss Stefan Pioli is delighted to have the ex-Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid man on board.
He said: “Ibra said he’ll take care of keeping him at bay.
“I’m happy, the club is ambitious, they want Milan back on top. Mandzukic’s arrival goes into this situation.
“Given the many commitments and critical issues of this season, we need many players. I also tell them that the quantity of minutes is not important, but the quality.
“When the club proposed it to me, I immediately said yes, I spoke to him, he’s very motivated, he’s a winner.”
