MANCHESTER UNITED defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is free to leave Old Trafford this month, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed.
The Norwegian suggested a lack of playing time for the versatile 23-year-old could hasten his Red Devils departure.

Fosu-Mensah has made just 30 appearances in six years, leaving the Dutch ace frustrated.
Solskjaer told reporters: “I’m not sure if Timo is going to stay or [if] he’s going to take an option now.
“He’s not played enough, so of course he’s been allowed to speak to clubs, with a view to leaving now in January.
“It’s difficult when you’ve got good players, talented players, and you can’t give them game time.
“He’s now at the stage where he needs to go and play again.
“It might be [at the] end of January, or it might be in the summer that he finds somewhere else.
“So he’s working hard, Tim, he’s ready for a move for any club that he feels ready for.”
Fosu-Mensah arrived at Carrington in 2014 as a 16-year-old fresh from Ajax’s youth system.

He made his Premier League debut in the match against Arsenal famous for Marcus Rashford’s dramatic goalscoring first appearance in 2016.
But unlike his United team-mate, Fosu-Mensah has found it tough to nail down a spot in the side and spent time on loan at London sides Crystal Palace and Fulham to aid his development.
His contract expires in the summer and after just three appearances and 108 minutes of action all season, he is likely to jump ship.
Fosu-Mensah could be joined on the way out by Argentine duo Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo who are both off contract at the end of the season.
