Joleon Lescott laughs off his hilarious Soccer AM appearance as he falls over and completely misses bicycle kick

JOLEON LESCOTT’s silky skills on the pitch appear to have momentarily deserted him in a comical scene on Soccer AM.

The ex-Manchester City ace had the show’s crew in stitches as he slipped shortly before miscuing an attempt at a bicycle kick.

And although the ex- Everton star managed to connect with the ball during his second effort, it glanced agonisingly wide of the goalpost.

But it was not all slips and trips for the Birmingham-born centre back.

The former City ace smashed in a top corner shot much to the delight of the show’s presenters

Lescott, 38, was appearing on Soccer AM’s You Know The Drill segment ahead of his old team’s derby day clash with Manchester United.

The feature involves the show’s guests showing off their technical skills by taking on a mix of free-kick challenges.

The former England defender enjoyed a five-year spell at City winning two Premier League titles, and a League Cup and FA Cup following a £22m 2009 move from Everton.

Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa and AEK Athens are among the sides Lescott played for after the end of his City career and before officially retiring.

And he has made appearances as a pundit on Sky Sports as well as helping to look after young players loaned out by his old club Manchester City.

The former Three Lions star came out of retirement by accident in November this term to join a third division football outfit in Spain.

The Birmingham born ace, who began his career at Wolves in 2000,  currently plies his trade at third division Spanish side Racing Murcia.

Before then has not played competitively since lining-up for Sunderland in a 5-1 loss to Chelsea three-and-a-half years ago.

Lescott’s current club are due to take on Cuidad De Murcia in their next game in Spain’s third tier.
