Eden Hazard’s ‘lack of happiness’ is ‘concerning’ Belgium boss Martinez after Real Madrid ace suffers yet another injury

EDEN HAZARD’s ongoing injury battle has put his career at Real Madrid in jeopardy and time seems to be running out.

The Belgian, 29, sustained another muscular problem in the 2-1 defeat to Alaves which is set to put him out for the rest of the calendar year.

This means that he will now have to be sidelined for the big clashes against Sevilla and rivals Atletico Madrid – having already missed the El Clasico victory over Barcelona.

Since joining the Los Blancos in 2019, Hazard has been absent for a total of 39 games and the figures continue to rise.

But Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez still has confidence in the Madrid playmaker and believes there is nothing to worry about long term.

According to Marca, he said: “It doesn’t worry me in the long run, I’m concerned about the lack of happiness at the moment.”

“Eden should be on the pitch and able to enjoy his football.

“Unfortunately, now we have to wait a little longer, but we have no long-term concerns.”

“We would be concerned if we didn’t know Hazard and if he wasn’t reacting to the treatment.”

However, Madrid boss Zidane seems to have lost faith in the ex-Chelsea star.

And it is now being reported that Real Madrid are considering cutting ties with Hazard and replacing him with PSG forward Kylian Mbappe instead.

The French World Cup winner Mbappe has been on Madrid’s radar for the last couple of seasons and with his contract due to expire at the end of the 2020/21 campaign, there’s every chance they could get their man.
