CRYSTAL PALACE superstar Wilfried Zaha has tested positive for coronavirus – ruling him out of Monday evening’s Premier League clash at Burnley at the eleventh hour.
The in-form attacker is now going into self-isolation, with Michy Batshuayi earning a late call-up to the Eagles’ line-up for the 1-0 defeat at Turf Moor.

On Zaha, Palace boss Roy Hodgson told Sky Sports: “He has tested positive unfortunately for coronavirus so is self-isolating and is awaiting the results of the next test
“He is not feeling particularly ill but unfortunately the test proved [positive], and he is following the procedures.”
News of Zaha’s absence came as the Premier League announced eight new positive tests among the 1,530 players and staff tested in the past week.
Later on Monday evening, Wolves were withouth skipper Conor Coady and fellow defender Ruben Saiss, who were both ruled out by the virus.
Saiss was a shock omission from Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting line-up after contracting the virus while on international duty with Morocco and returning a positive test in advance of his return to the UK last week.
Coady, who missed all three of England’s recent internationals after receiving an NHS Test and Trace alert to confirm he had come into contact with a person who had tested positive for Covid-19, was still unable to return, despite giving two negative tests.
Wolves boss Nuno confirmed: “Unfortunately Coady and Saiss are not with us. Coady has played since the Championship, a lot of games.
“Since coming back from the England squad he has been self-isolating. He has tested negative and already had the virus so maybe he’s already immune.
“But he cannot be with us. Many things don’t make sense but we have to keep on going. it’s not a good moment for anybody.
“Saiss is in self-isolation since returning from the national team. He tested positive and is comfortable with the situation.
“He is at home by himself with the family in another room and he has to protect himself because we want him to return safe and healthy.”
Zaha has been the Eagles’ main man in their impressive start to the season, notching five Prem goals.
And the 28-year-old’s misfortune is the THIRD positive test Hodgson’s squad has faced in recent weeks.
Ghana striker Jordan Ayew, who is back playing now, and Serbia midfielder Luka Milivojevic also contracted Covid-19.
