REACTION FROM JURGEN KLOPP

A SUPERB NIGHT FOR THE REDS
JOTA WITH THE MATCH BALL
ATALANTA 0-5 LIVERPOOL
Liverpool dominated the first half and have really mixed up their play, with some lovely one/two touch football and some great cross field long passes.
The Red’s took the lead in the 16th minute after Diogo Jota received the ball on the right channel, he held off an Atalanta defender and dinked it wonderfully over Sportiello.
The Reds continued to dominate play and were rewarded for their efforts in the 33rd minute, a wonderful long pass from Matip was brought down on his chest in the box by Jota who and finished clinically into the top right hand corner to put Liverpool 2-0 up.
The Reds saw out the rest of the half on top and are good value for their half time lead.
The second half was more of the same as just after half time Mo Salah made it 3-0, the Egyptian picked up the ball and drove towards the edge of the box, cut onto his left foot and curled it past Sportiello.
Just two minutes later it was 4-0 Salah slid a through ball down the left for Mane to chase, the Atalanta keeper came out together the ball but Mane kept his head and chipped the ball over the keeper.
Jota sealed his hat trick 10 minutes later this time Mane turning provider and sliding a pass beyond the Atalanta defence for Jota, Sportiello came a long way to clear the ball, but the new Reds hero knocked it past him before slotting into an empty net.
Liverpool continued to press for more goals and the home side to their credit git forward when they could but it was an easy night’s work for Klopp’s boys who now sit atop group D with nine points from their three games.
