EX-TOTTENHAM boss Mauricio Pochettino is heavy favourite to become Manchester United’s next manager.
And odds on current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being the next Premier League manager to be sacked have been slashed after his side’s dismal 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Spurs.

The sack race is hotting up
United have long been admirers of Pochettino, 48, having considered him for the post before they hired both Jose Mourinho and Solskjaer.
On both occasions, having to go through Daniel Levy to get the affable Argentine proved too much of an obstacle for the United board.
But with the Spurs chairman no longer in their way, having sacked his most successful hire to date last November, the Red Devils now have a clear path to Pochettino.
And the Ladbrokes odds reflect this, with the former defender just 5/4 to be United’s next gaffer.
Next up in the betting is Massimiliano Allegri, a comparatively outside shot at 8/1.
As for the sack race, Solskjaer motored to second place with the bookie at 15/8 – with only 7/4 Fulham boss Scott Parker deemed more likely to be the next top flight manager dispensed with.
Jose Mourinho is next at 8/, with Slaven Bilic following at 9/1.
David Moyes and Roy Hodgson are level at 10/1, while Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is 14/1.

Solskjaer, 47, has shot up the list after a dire start to the campaign.
Good form in the second half of last season temporarily lifted some of the pressure from the Norwegian’s shoulders.
But with his team having played poorly in all three Premier League matches so far, and with the nature of Sunday’s thrashing particularly galling, Solskjaer is attracting unwanted attention in the betting markets.
He will hope that his Deadline Day acquisitions will help lift the gloom around Old Trafford, however, with Alex Telles having signed from Porto.
And Edinson Cavani is expected to follow on a free transfer.
