Leeds are looking to swoop for Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell after being quoted a steep price for Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul
Cantwell impressed in the Premier League last season, despite Norwich being relegated straight back to the Championship.
The attacking midfielder made 40 appearances across all competitions including 30 league starts, scoring seven times and providing two assists.
Despite signing a new deal last year which would extend his stay at Carrow Road, the deal is set to expire in the summer of 2022.
With just under two years left on his current deal, it leaves Daniel Farke with a dilemma, whether he should cash in now, or wait to see if Norwich return to the top flight.
Leeds have made a number or marquee signings this summer, including three players who play for established national sides.
Marcelo Bielsa has forked out £45million on Spanish international pair Rodrigo and Diego Llorente, as well as signing German international Robin Koch.

Bielsa is believed to be interested in bringing in two more players heading into the final few days of the transfer window.
An attacking midfielder and a box-to-box midfielder are on the managers wish list, with Cantwell fitting the bill for one of those positions.
