Cristiano Ronaldo leaves fans stunned with huge thigh muscles as Juventus star proves he never skips leg day in the gym

CRISTIANO RONALDO proved he never skips leg day as he stunned fans with his huge thigh muscles.

The Juventus star took to Instagram to show off his bulging quads.

Sat at the leg extension machine in the gym, the Portuguese hero’s bonkers muscles were out for all to see.

But with his shorts conveniently pulled right up it was virtually impossible to miss them.

He wrote: “A good recovery is the key!”

The post has already been liked by more than 5.6million people and left followers in awe of his ripped body.

One wrote: “Those legs can crush a brick.”

Another said: “Truly one of a kind.”

A third added: “No days off!”

And a final user commented: “No pain no gain.”

Ronaldo may turn 36 this season but is still in stunning physical condition.

It is a far cry from the skinny youngster who arrived at Manchester United in 2003 from Sporting Lisbon.

The incredible body transformation – arguably one of the most impressive in world football – is down to a Pilates-based routine that focuses on resistance work to strengthen his core.

He has also previously revealed the strict diet has kept him in sensational shape throughout his career.

The ex-Manchester United man enjoyed plenty of hours soaking up the sun during lockdown and brief off-season – and made the most of the chances to show off his abs.

But despite his pristine shape, Ronaldo will not play every game this season as Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo looks to manage his minutes.

Speaking on the subject to Sky Sports Italia, Pirlo said: “When it comes to less important games, we’ll try to give him a rest.

“He’s a very intelligent lad who knows his body very well, so he is aware of when it’s time to rest or to step it up.”

Through exercise, diet and rest Ronaldo has become one of the most physically dominant athletes in the world
