Every bottle of the Cherry Kick flavour features a picture of Sterling’s smiling face.

The Manchester City star, 25, is the first male footballer to star on the side of a Lucozade Sport bottle.

He is following in the footsteps of England Lionesses Steph Houghton and Nikita Parris.

After images of the new bottle were released, Sterling admitted it is “brilliant” to be a part of it.

He said: “Teaming up with Lucozade Sport, which has such a strong heritage in English football having worked with so many iconic players, is a brilliant moment for me.

“The drinks have always supported me throughout my career so to have the Cherry Kick flavour with my face on the bottle feels surreal.

“Hopefully the message on the bottle – Always Believe – will inspire not just footballers but everyone to have faith in whatever journey they are on and achieve their personal goals.”

Sterling continued to impress for England at the weekend as he scored the winner against Iceland.

After the match, Three Lions Gareth Southgate claimed Sterling has taken his game to “another level”.

He told Sky Sports: “His hunger to score, his hunger to win things, his hunger to drive himself, you really can’t underestimate it.

“It has a massive impact on everybody around him and really has taken his game to another level.”
