But his run was momentarily on hold last summer after he starred in ITV’s hit reality TV show Love Island.
The 21-year-old is focussed on achieving his goal of becoming a world champion – and has the backing of unbeaten WBC king Tyson.
He said: I think he’ll go all the way.
“He’s dedicated, he wants it, he trains hard, he eats well – and he’s my brother, he has to.”
Tyson, 32, shared videos oh himself training with Tommy, as they worked on strengthening their legs.
Tommy revealed he has been training three times a day, despite not knowing when he will be able to fight again.
But in an interview with iFL TV in June, the social media star admitted working out is just second nature to him.
Tommy explained: “At the end of the day you just have to train.
“It’s something I’ve always done and if I wasn’t in boxing I was lifting weights, sprinting, doing athletics, whatever it was I was always doing something.
“Training is in my mind anyway and when you’ve trained from such a young age every single day and enjoy training it’s not as if I’m training because I have a fight coming up, it’s because I like to train.”
