David Luiz sent off after giving away TWO goals in horror Arsenal show at Man City as Carragher says he has ‘no future’

GARY NEVILLE said he was “lost for words” at how bad David Luiz was against Manchester City.

The Arsenal defender got a straight red and gave away two goals in the 3-0 defeat at the Etihad.

Jamie Carragher said the Brazilian has to leave the Premier Club club after this horror show.

Error-prone Arsenal defender Luiz came on as a substitute for Pablo Mari in the 23rd minute.

And Neville’s fellow Sky Sports pundit Carragher said that was the exact moment Pep Guardiola’s side got into the game.

Luiz was to blame for Raheem Sterling opening the scoring with his first goal of 2020 just before the break.

And Kevin De Bruyne converted from the spot after Luiz brought down Riyad Mahrez after the restart.

Luiz was shown a straight red for the tug on the ex-Leicester man.

One stat revealed £120,000-a-week Luiz – whose contract runs out at the end of this month – has given a penalty every six and a half games for the Gunners.

Fuming Arsenal fans voiced their frustration online.

One said: “David Luiz should never play for this club again.”

Another posted: “Arteta tried … he really didn’t want David Luiz to play… he saw the future…”

A fellow user commented: “What the f*** is David Luiz because it isn’t a footballer.”

One comment read: “What a player David Luiz is. Doesn’t start, comes on gives two goals away and gets sent off. Leaves the pitch laughing.”

Another said: “Initially thought it was a bad decision not renewing your contract but fuck me you are robbing a living

@DavidLuiz_4 just retire.”

Luiz’s latest nightmare comes just days after footage of his shocking defending in Arsenal’s 3-2 loss to Brentford went viral.

He had been linked with a move to Benfica but the club’s president said Luiz was going to renew his Arsenal deal.
