Cristiano Ronaldo ‘furious’ he missed penalty vs Milan and ready to go on rampage like last time he failed from the spot

JUVENTUS star Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be “furious” at missing his penalty against AC Milan and is looking to make Napoli pay in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old saw his spot-kick smash off the post during the semi-final second leg tie against the Rossoneri – his first miss from 12 yards out since January 2019.

According to Tuttosport, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is “furious” after failing to find the back of the net, and is now ready to go on the rampage against Gennaro Gattuso’s men.

They state that the “angry” Ronaldo is looking to make amends and is determined to put on a show against Napoli as he looks to win his first Coppa Italia trophy.

His former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti once spoke of how the Portuguese international has a point to prove if he fails to score in a match.

He said: “The most dangerous attacker of Cristiano Ronaldo is Cristiano Ronaldo who did not score in the previous game.”

Following his penalty miss against Chievo on January 21, 2019, the Manchester United icon fired home 13 consecutive spot-kicks for club and country.

And after Stefano Sorrentino parried away his effort, Ronaldo scored five goals in four games – proving he is a man on a mission once he’s denied a chance to score.

Ronaldo took to Instagram following the match against Milan where he stated the final against Napoli is all that is on his mind.

Posting a picture of himself in action, he said: “The restart was difficult but we achieved out goal. Rome here we go.”

It’s been another impressive season in Italy for the five-time Champions League winner, with Ronaldo banging in 25 goals in 33 games in all competitions.

He recently revealed his secret of how to stay in shape, as he said: “The key is to take care of your body, train, do your recovery and eat properly.

“Although sometimes I do eat pizza with my son otherwise it would be boring.”
