SHAPELY Georgina Rodriguez has admitted she felt “embarrassed” training with her footballer husband at first during the coronavirus lockdown – but now revels in learning from her “best teacher”.
The pretty brunette admitted Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo is her inspiration because of the sacrifices he makes to keep fit.
In an interview, Georgina Rodriguez explained how she was initially embarrassed working out in front of partner Cristiano Ronaldo.
And the 26-year-old, who wowed her Instagram fans with a string of lockdown gym routines in tight-fitting lycra, confessed the part of her body she most likes working on are her glutes.
“Imagine having to train in the same space as Cristiano.
“I was used to working out at home when he went to train at his club so we could spend more time together when he returned.
Rodriguez has kept her 18.6 million Instagram followers updated with her lockdown workout habits.
“But afterwards that feeling went and now I love exercising with him.
“He’s become my greatest motivation and inspiration.”
“He’s an elite athlete. It’s incredible how he focuses and devotes himself to his passion for football.
“There’s no doubt he trains more and better than me. There’s just no comparison. He’s a professional athlete.
RONALDO’S FITNESS SECRETS
Hard work: Motivation to be the best is key – which Ronaldo’s five Ballons d’Or prove
The world is your gym: Don’t limit yourself to exercising in one place. Complete your routine at home in the morning or at night
Booze ban: No more wild nights out if you want to stay so sculpted
You are what you eat: Balanced diet with plenty of protein to fuel your workouts is best. Sugary foods are worst
Ronnie says relax: Downtime at home with family and friends is a must
Sleep well: Try and get at least eight hours a night, sleep is key for muscle regeneration
“But I have the best teacher at home and every day I learn something new with him.
“When it comes to fitness, Cristiano beats me by a stack of goals.”
Georgina also admitted in the interview for the magazine, which put a stunning photo of the model on its front cover, that the first month of the coronavirus crisis had left her feeling “frightened and demotivated”.
In a compliment which is bound to make her husband and his family happy, she told the magazine: “I love Madeira. The climate is marvellous, the food exquisite and the people very warm. Portugal is a real treasure.”
“For the first time a Portuguese front cover that has a lot to do with my lifestyle.”
