He has not fought since knocking out 20-year-old kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan nearly 18 months ago.
Mayweather has now revealed he will be heading oversees again for some exhibition bouts.
He told Zab Judah on Instagram Live: “I got a couple of exhibitions I’m doing.
“I got a couple of exhibitions, I’m doing little exhibitions overseas.
“It’s paying though.”
Mayweather’s revelation came after he called out Conor McGregor’s shock retirement announcement at the weekend.
The pair fought in 2017, with Mayweather emerging victorious.
And the American couldn’t resist ribbing his old foe online.
Mayweather wrote: “If I’m not mistaken, didn’t you tell Mike Tyson you could beat me if we fought a second time?
“Now you’re quitting! I thought you wanted to beat the best?
“Well if you decide to come back, I will be waiting to punish you again.”
Indeed, with McGregor’s enjoying retirement on a jet ski off the Irish coast, some believe there could be a potential fight between Tyson and Mayweather on the cards.
Iron Mike is returning to the ring at the age of 53 and recently revealed a clash with Mayweather would be his dream bout.
Meanwhile, Mayweather continues to train youngsters in his spare time.
But he was called out by protege Gervonta Davis for training his rival Devin Haney earlier this month.
