Guardiola’s City contract runs until the end of next season and he has previously been linked with Argentina and Brazil.

And football agent Pere – who has just opened a branch of his Media Base Sports company in Brazil – would not rule it out.

He told Globo Esporte: “Brazil has won everything with Brazilian coaches.

“I think you have good coaches, you don’t have to have only foreigners.

“Pep has a dream of coaching a national team someday, but we’ll see how it goes and whether he will receive an offer.

“It is not something for the present.”

Proud Catalan Guardiola has also been linked with an emotional return to the Nou Camp but City are confident he will snub Barca as he enters the last year of his deal.

Cesc Fabregas recently said the 49-year-old is the most tactical manager he ever played for including Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger.

And City legend Vincent Kompany reportedly snubbed the chance to return to the Etihad to become Guardiola’s No2.
