However, the four-time heavyweight world champion has now silenced his critics with his latest video.

He gave fans a glimpse of his gruelling gym workout as he shared a clip with his 317,000 Instagram followers.

Holyfield kicked off his session with some heavy bench press – which appeared to weigh over 100kg.

The boxing veteran then worked on his explosive power with a shoulder exercise before doing some press ups.

He added the caption: “Focus. Faith. Determination.”

Model Billie Jo Powers commented on the video: “A true champion.”

Former boxing world champion Antonio Tarver said: “All in a days work. ‘The Real Deal Holyfield’ still pushing the bar.”

Another fan added: “Big champ. The Real Deal is back.”

And one Instagram user said: “You truly are a warrior Holyfield.”

He told The Times: “It’s better you do it with people who have been around like you.

“I don’t want to go and fight someone trying to make a name for themselves.

“People want to see me and [Riddick] Bowe, of course, Mike Tyson and maybe Lennox [Lewis], that would be good. I’ll spar with anyone.”
