Marcus Rashford, Dina Asher-Smith and Lewis Hamilton were among other black British sports stars to make similar statements.
Borussia Monchengladbach ace Marcus Thuram took a knee after scoring the first of his two goals in a 4-1 win over Union Berlin.
Thuram, 22, dropped to one knee in a symbolic gesture to support the Black Lives Matter movement.
Sancho’s team-mate Achraf Hakimi revealed his own tribute shirt by lifting his top to reveal the same message after he grabbed Dortmund’s fourth goal in the 85th minute.
