Burnley will demand £10million compensation for Sean Dyche as rivals eye swoop in wake of coronavirus shutdown

BURNLEY will claim a huge £10million in compensation for miracle-worker manager Sean Dyche.

The highly-rated boss could become a hot property in the merry-go-round this summer if the Clarets start running out of cash after the coronavirus shutdown.

But any club-owner admirers will face a major obstacle — the cost for his services.

That is not stopping interest in Dyche, who will have talks over future Burnley budgets at the end of this season to find out where he stands.

The fee for Dyche, 48, includes the backroom staff who have been key to his success in keeping the Clarets in the top-flight since 2016.

Dyche is on a large basic salary at Burnley and has also picked up big bonuses.

The downside for potential suitors is that his compensation is based on those figures — and his management team are also on decent cash.

Dyche will want to take trusted sidekicks Ian Woan and Tony Loughlan with him — he has been pals with the latter since their days with Nottingham Forest.

And with keeper coach Billy Mercer and other staff in tow, there would be a large settlement bill for any new club.
