KYLIAN MBAPPE is caught up in a cryptocurrency scam with cops probing the alleged use of his image without permission.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker has reportedly filed a complaint of fraud with French police after his photo was used to encourage people to sign up for the dark web tender.

L’Equipe claim the World Cup winner featured on various online advertisement campaigns for cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin.
The 21-year-old was allegedly used to persuade people to invest in cryptocurrencies, promising to make them a millionaire in two or three months.
One of the adverts is believed to have said: “The latest investment by Kylian Mbappe put the experts under pressure and frightened the big banks.”
Anne-Sophie Coulbois, head of the Central Office for the Suppression of Financial Crime with the French police, explained how the scam works.
She said: “These pages are used to impersonate future victims, save your contact details, then an alleged vendor calls them to explain the procedure for investing, but there is never a product that is invested in.”
This does not appear to be the first time Mbappe has been targeted in shady crypto schemes.
His official Twitter account was reportedly hacked last April and tweets posted where he encouraged his followers to make investments in crypto scams.
The Financial Markets Authority of France said that in 2018 they received nearly 1,100 complaints scams of this sort.
