Bale, 30, has made it no secret he would prefer to be out on the course rather than on the football field.

So much so that he even has his own lush putting green built into his back garden.

It appears he is putting it to good use while being forced to remain at home while Covid-19 sweeps the globe.

A new trick shot uploaded to Instagram, Bale certainly knows the break on the green as he aims away from the hole.

The ball heads towards the fringe before hitting the downslope and rolling towards the hole.

Bale knows it is in before the ball even lands in the cup as he lifts up his finger in celebration.

Footballers across the world have been posting their own Stay at Home Challenges.

Lionel Messi made the toilet roll keepy-up task look easy. Bruno Fernandes did too.

Even John Terry’s daughter got in on the act, with a little help from the Champions League trophy.

Bale was given the nickname ‘The Golfer’ by his Bernabeu team-mate Thibaut Courtois because of the amount of time he spends on the course.

And he famously posed with a flag that read “Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order.” after Wales beat Hungary to secure their spot in the postponed European Championship.

In 2018, work was completed on building a three-hole golf course in his estate in Wales that amazingly features copies of real holes.

His chosen three holes were the the 12th at Augusta, Royal Troon’s Postage Stamp and the tricky par-three 17th at Sawgrass.
