Nearly 15,000 people in the UK have tested positive for the virus, with 759 of those dying.
And the Premier League was brought to a halt earlier this month with the aim of resuming in May.
This summer’s Euro finals have been scrapped in a bid to allow countries to complete their domestic campaigns.
But it was yesterday claimed a growing number of Premier League clubs want the season to be declared null and void, a move which would deny Liverpool their first-ever Prem title.
Should that occur, it’s now said that England’s top teams may not be allowed in the Champions League next term.
Williams wrote on Twitter: “Source at Uefa : leagues who void seasons could find it difficult to nominate UCL and UEL reps, ESPECIALLY if other leagues complete their comps.
“Non-completion could lead to non-qualification, could be seen that teams did not qualify if voided, brings coefficient issues also.”
However, there is no indication the current Premier League season will be axed.
And the plan remains to continue with proceedings in early May.
Even so, the non-league football season was declared void yesterday.

And with other European countries battling coronavirus, it remains to be seen what decision is taken later down the line.
On Friday afternoon, the Premier League, EFL and PFA met and put out a joint statement that leagues will not recommence until April 30 at the very earliest.
Further meetings are set to take place next week.
