ALISHA LEHMANN’S mum has hit back at criticism of her daughter.
Lehmann, 26, plays for Juventus and has boosted her popularity throughout her career on social media.
The Swiss international has amassed an incredible 16.6 million followers on Instagram and a further 11.9 million on TikTok by sharing snaps off her glamorous footballing life.
But Lehmann’s mum Sarah Guggisberg has hit back at critics that claim she is only in the public eye for her work off the field.
She wrote on social media: “She became famous for her footballing achievements, not her makeup.
“She wears makeup, right? She’s been playing in the top flight for years. It’s not like she just wears makeup.

“You don’t know her at all and you don’t know what a wonderful person she is.
“And she became famous for her footballing achievements, not her makeup.”
Lehmann, who used to play for West Ham, Everton and Aston Villa, has scored two goals in 16 Serie A games for Juventus this season.
She has also hit the headlines off the pitch this year after being named in charge of her own team in the new Baller League.

And there has been much interest in her break up with fellow player Douglas Luiz.
The couple completed the first ever boyfriend and girlfriend transfer when they left Aston Villa for Juve together last summer.
They first began dating in 2021 and have had an on and off relationship since.
But they have now seemingly gone their separate ways for good, with Luiz set to leave Juve at the end of the season while Lehmann is likely to stay.
