Man Utd treble winner, 46, looks unrecognisable with beard and new hair as he enjoys new life as a grandad


A FORMER Manchester United star looks unrecognisable with a new haircut and grey beard.

The ex-player in question, now 46, is currently the manager of National League North side Scarborough Athletic.

He took the helm back in 2021, four years after retiring from professional football.

As a player, he starred for the likes of Middlesbrough, West Brom, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Man Utd.

The midfielder made 252 Premier League appearances in total, with four Champions League outings also under his belt.

Having joined United back in 1998, he played alongside the likes of David Beckham, Gary Neville and Roy Keane during his time at Old Trafford.

During his three-year spell with the Red Devils, he won three Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the Champions League.

He was recognisable at the time for his long hair, which he would later hold back with a headband.

If you haven’t guessed already, the player in question is… Jonathan Greening.

The 46-year-old called time on his playing career in 2017 following a two-year spell with non-league side Tadcaster Albion.

After earning all of his coaching credentials, he was appointed the manager of Scarborough Athletic in 2021.

During his first season, he led the club to promotion from the Northern Premier League and won the North Riding Senior Cup.

Greening is now contracted to Scarborough until the end of the year.

The ex-United star lives with his wife, Anna, and the couple have three children together.

He also recently became a grandad and now has plenty of photos and videos with his new grandson on his Instagram.
