MANCHESTER United hope to add a positive highlight to their poor season as they host noisy neighbours City in the Manchester Derby.
City and United are both powerhouses of the Premier League, but the two sides have endured poor seasons compared to their high standards.
United are lingering down in 13th place in the Premier League, with Ruben Amorim unable to steady the sinking ship at Old Trafford.
City are down in fifth, but after winning four Premier League titles in a row, Pep Guardiola will be disappointed with his side’s lacklustre performance this season.

Manchester awaits rivals clash
Victory for Man Utd today would give them a very rare double over their noisy neighbours this season.
As you would expect, it is a packed house for this one.
We all hope for plenty of goals and a feisty game.

There have been some hugely important games between these two neighbours in recent years but this one has little riding on it. Will anyone outside of Manchester really be bothered?
City need points to keep themselves in contention for a top five spot while United are just keeping themselves warm for the Europa League.
This game marks the start of Kevin De Bruyne’s farewell tour after Friday’s surprise announcement that he will leave the Etihad this summer. He is part of a midfield trio with Ilkay Gundogan and Mateo Kovacic which looks to be short of legs.
United have won their last two meetings with City – including a dramatic late victory at the Etihad in December. Could they make it a hat-trick? No matter what the result, a sit in protest is planned by the 1958 group at the end with feelings still running high among the supporters.
Bragging rights up for grabs
Both sides have had disappointing seasons by their own standards.
It will have hurt Man City to lose at home against the Red Devils earlier in the season.
Guardiola will be looking for payback today, wanting to crush them in front of their own fans.
The return fixture
City were quick to forget their earlier fixture against United earlier in the season.
Josko Gvardiol had given them the lead in the first half, but it all fell apart for Guardiola and City in the dying embers.
Bruno Fernandes scored a pen in the 88th minute, before Amad Diallo sent United home with three points after a superb goal in the 90th minute.

Pep with eyes on fourth spot
After Chelsea could only take a point against Brentford this afternoon, fourth spot is there for the taking.
Guardiola will be wanting to take this game to United.
They know three points would put them in control of their own destiny for that coveted Champions League spot.

SEVEN points separate Nottingham Forest in third and Newcastle in seventh.
Every single point is a key one at this stage of the season, and Chelsea dropped two at the Gtech Community Stadium against Brentford.
Aston Villa are now level on points with City in sixth, after they picked up a huge 2-1 win over Forest yesterday.
City could jump above Chelsea in fourth with a win.

Manchester City’s last remaining hope at a trophy this season was given a helping hand by O’Reilly just after the international break.
City were struggling at Bournemouth, but after Pep Guardiola subbed him on, the game changed.
O’Reilly created both goals, and has started both games since.
The Englishman’s ability to defend and bring the ball forward makes him an ideal cog in the Guardiola system.

United were the dominant side in England throughout Sir Alex Ferguson’s spell in charge.
However, City have become everything United were under Pep Guardiola.
The side even repeated the historic treble that United managed to win in 1999.
United are now way off where they want to be, but – just for one season – so are Man City.
Can the Old Trafford faithful help deliver another HUGE Manchester derby win?
