The unnamed Eagles supporter could be seen in the background behind double goalscorer Ismaila Sarr at Wembley on Saturday.

The moment came after Sarr’s sublime low shot from distance put Oliver Glasner’s side 2-0 up in the 58th minute.

Sarr’s crucial goal came minutes after Villa threatened to turn the tie on its head after Jean-Philippe Mateta sent his penalty well wide.

But one Palace fan has gone viral after viewers at home caught him slapping his head with one free hand among the wild celebrations.

The inventive fella was as enthusiastic as those around him as Palace booked their place in the final against either Manchester City or Nottingham Forest, who play in the other semi-final on Sunday.

One X user joked: “This bloke can’t clap so he’s whacking his head instead.”

Another claimed: “That’s my mate. He broke his arm in our Sunday league game a couple weeks ago.”
