PSG have won the Champions League for the first time after a record-breaking 5-0 win over Inter Milan!

The teenager marked his Player of the Match performance with another goal in the second half to give PSG a healthy 3-0 lead.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia got on the scoresheet with just over a quarter of an hour remaining as the French giants went four in front.

Academy star Senny Mayulu added a fifth in injury time as PSG became the first team to win the Champions League or European Cup final by a five-goal margin.

  • Enrique secures second Treble

PSG boss Luis Enrique is only the second manager to win a Treble with a European club on two different occasions.

His first came in 2014/15 with Barcelona before the Spaniard capped off his second last night.

Pep Guardiola is the other manager, winning the Treble with Barca in 2008/09 and then Manchester City in 2022/23.

  • Touching tribute

PSG fans unveiled a tifo at full-time, which featured Luis Enrique’s daughter Xana, who passed away at the age of 9 from a rare form of cancer in 2019.

It really was emotional scenes at full-time.

  • PSG make history

PSG’s mammoth 5-0 win over Inter Milan made Champions League history.

It was the biggest winning margin in a European Cup final.

  • Two trebles for magnifique Enrique

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has become only the second manger to win a treble with a European club on two different occasions, having previously doing so with Barcelona in 2014-15.

The Spaniard joins his former teammate Pep Guardiola, who also achieved a treble with Barcelona in 2008-09 and then Manchester City in 2022-23.

  • ‘Incredible’ Doue hails Enrique

Paris Saint-Germain’s teenage superstar Desire Doue said he was lost at words to describe his history-making performance in the Champions League final.

But the teenager found plenty to describe what head coach Luis Enrique has done for the French outfit.

“He’s been here two years and he’s made history for the club,” Doue said.

“Tactically, mentally, he’s an unbelievable coach, and as a human being too. It’s a pleasure to work with him.”

And when asked how he and his teammates were going to mark the occasion, the 18-year-old hinted at some wild celebrations.

“I don’t know,” he said. “But it’s going to be crazy.”

I have no words. It was just incredible for me. Simply incredible.

  • Inter unravel on final stage

Simone Inzaghi’s Inter side have given the Champions League some incredible moments this season, but it all fell apart for them in Munich this evening.

The excellent counter-attacking outfit had trailed for a combined total of just 16 minutes and 38 seconds in their previous 14 games in the competition.

Yet tonight they were second best from the off, and were never in contention once Achraf Hakimi netted an early opener.

As a result, Inter trailed for 81 minutes and seven seconds in the final alone.

  • Munich first time tradition continues

This was the fifth time that either a European Cup or Champions League final has been held in Munich – and on every single occasion the victors have lifted the trophy for the first time.

PSG’s inaugural success follows Chelsea in 2012, Borussia Dortmund in 1997, Marseille in 1993, and Nottingham Forest in 1979.

  • Three from Desire

    Inter Milan were terrified.

Eighteen-year-old Desire Doue became the first player ever to register three goal involvements in a Champions League final, bagging two goals and an assist.

  • Paris up in lights

One of the world’s greatest landmarks has taken on a different dimension tonight.

In the French capital, the Eiffel Tower has been lit up in the colours of Paris Saint-Germain with the word ‘Champions’ projected on to it.

  • Match stats from the Allianz Arena

PSG’s 5-0 win was the biggest margin of victory in a European Cup or Champions League final.

In Internazionale’s 167th game in the Champions League, they have conceded five goals for only the third time – they lost 5-1 v Arsenal in November 2003, and 5-2 against Schalke in April 2011.

  • PSG play the long game

Paris Saint-Germain have won the Champions League for the first time in their history in what was their 168th game in the competition.

It the most any club has played before winning the competition for the first time.

  • Enrique leads PSG revolution

Paris Saint-Germain were so disliked on the European stage for so long that it would have taken something remarkable to turn public opinion around.

    Or perhaps someone remarkable.

The side that Luis Enrique has put together, and the dignity in which he has done it has won so many admirers.

The PSG boss lost his nine-year-old daughter Xana in 2019 to a rare form of cancer, and the way he has continually spoken about her has broken hearts and offered hope.

  • PSG fans invade the pitch

  • PSG reach for the stars

Amid the gold confetti inside the Allianz Arena, Marquinhos lifts the Champions League trophy to the sky.

Paris Saint-Germain have finally won their first Champions League.

With this young squad, with this manager, don’t bet on it being their last.

  • PSG are European kings!

  • Trophy lift imminent

The PSG players are getting giddy on the stage as they receive their winner’s medals.

Marquinos will lift the iconic trophy in just a few moments.

  • Name on the cup

There’s a new name on the Champions League trophy this evening with PSG the 23rd club to win either this competition or its European Cup predecessor.

Soon this renowned piece of silverware will be held aloft by Marquinhos and his teammates.

  • Classy touch

PSG give Inter a guard of honour as the players make their way to collect their unwanted runners-up medals.

  • From Dan King in Munich

Senny Mayulu, the PSG sub who scored the fifth goal moments after coming on, summed things up with his celebration. He was pumping his legs like he was dancing on hot coals in sheer elation and disbelief.

Never in their wildest dreams – and Qataris have enough money to have some pretty wild dreams – will PSG’s owners have seen their first European title arriving in this fashion.

The biggest winning margin in the history of the competition was delivered by some wonderful football against an Inter side who just did not turn up and had lost even their fight by the end.

Desire Doue was the ninest of the four nine out of 10’s on the PSG side, but this was a team performance of strength, poise and verve. And a side this young should be contenders for years to come.

  • Full time – PSG 5-0 Inter

Paris Saint-Germain win the Champions League – and in sublime French style too!

Neymar couldn’t do it. Kylian Mbappe couldn’t do it. Even Lionel Messi couldn’t do it.

But this young squad, put together and engineered by the magnificent Luis Enrique, have won PSG the biggest prize in European football.

And having dispatched all the Premier League could offer along the way, the French club have now racked up the biggest winning margin in Champions League history.

The squad, staff and management rush on to the pitch at full time to celebrate with the players on the pitch, and you suspect those celebrations will run right through the night and beyond.

  • PSG 5-0 Inter

    90. Achraf Hakimi picks up a yellow card for a tactical foul with just seconds left on the clock, and I don’t think there is going to be any time for stoppages added.

    Professional to the end.

  • PSG 5-0 Inter

    88. There are more tears being shed now, but these are on the PSG bench among the staff and players who have been substituted.

After their long (oil money fuelled) journey, they are nearly there.

Champions League glory is just a couple of minutes away.

  • PSG 5-0 Inter

    86. Paris Saint-Germain have their fifth goal, and it’s the 18-year-old substitute Senny Mayulu who has got in on the act.

In terms of the action, it’s a smart give, go and return with Bradley Barcola that brings the opportunity to smash in off the near post.

But what about the unbridled joy on Mayulu’s face?! The teenager can barely believe the moment as he wheels away with the biggest wide-eyed smile, visible for seconds before he is mobbed by his PSG teammates.

  • Five!

  • PSG 4-0 Inter

    83. A treble substitution for PSG, who are essentially in party mode now.

Warren Zaire-Emery, Senny Mayulu and Goncalo Ramos are on for a slice of action with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves taking a well-deserved break.
