Betis vs Chelsea preview
It’s another European final for Chelsea, albeit not in the competition they’d be hoping for.
They’ve been warm favourites for much of the competition and go into Wednesday’s final as the short priced favourites for glory.
They do so in a good mood, having secured Champions League football next season, courtesy of their big win at Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Enzo Maresca’s own personal bank balance won’t be affected by this final – his contract doesn’t include win incentives for this competition.
But now they’ve made the final in Poland, they’ll be desperate to win it to crown off a good week.
They’ll face a Betis side who have put their eggs purely in this basket and have gone five games without a win to end their season.
Betis – led by Man Utd outcast Antony, with nine goals and five assists in 25 games – have already secured Europa League football for next year courtesy of finishing sixth.
Changes will be made to Chelsea’s line-up but they have seven wins and a defeat in their last eight as they finish the season with a bit of a flourish.
